Our Top Reccomendation

7A Ranch (15 Minutes from the Devil's Backbone Tavern - Wimberley):
We (Sabrina and Ryan) will both be staying here at 7A. On Froday October 24th, this is where the afternoon hangout and evening welcome dinner will be, specifically at the Opera House on premises.

We’ve stayed here before, and enjoyed it. Also right next to the Blanco River, and a short drive into the main Wimberley town center. Canoes and kayaks can be rented for the river, and this property notably has a "ghost town"! We would highly recommend exploring the ample group/cabins options here with friends and family!
For two or more nights between Thursday October 23rd and Monday October 26th, use promocode “WEDDING” to save on your booking! This is the best promo code available.
If you only need one night, use promocode “BACKBONE” to save on your booking. The amount off is less, but this code will work.

Wimberley Inn & Bar (9 minutes from Backbone - Wimberley):
Very lovely, modern, and nice boutique hotel close to the town center! If we were guests at this wedding instead of hosting it and planning to book a room for ourselves, we would almost certainly book this place to stay at! Great option for solo travelers and couples, and we very much reccomend this spot! Use promo code “BACKBONE” to save on your booking!

Beer Ranch Project Inn (9 Minutes from Backbone - Wimberley):
A brewery with some studio options and a bungalow capable of accomodating six people. This looks like a pretty nice option for couples or a small group. The proximity to beer is not a bad perk either, and this is literally in the heart of Wimberley-- so really worth a look!

Slightly older but quaint property with some small cottages and houses, located very close to the Devil's Backbone Tavern.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations Hill Country Resort at Canyon Lake (8 minutes from Backbone):
Super convenient and overall solid option here. This appears to be the closest chain hotel option to the venue as well, which is a major plus over comprable options off of I-35 in San Marcos. The property is a little older, but the rooms appear to be updated, spacious, and recently redone. Also, the reviews are good!
Sunflower Ridge Cabin (Rougly 3- 4 minutes from Backbone, could not locate address):
Nice cabin that can host up to 4 people.

Mystic Hills Ranch (3 minutes from Backbone):
This listing offers a number of cottages and houses that can accommodate up to 16 people.

If you do stay in San Marcos and don’t want to do one of the million chain hotels, this is your best bet. We’ve actually stayed here once and it was nice. Cool little bar right nextdoor called Zelick's Ice House.

Monestino Ranch (16 minutes from Backbone east of Wimberley)
Camp Hideaway Gruene (19 minutes from Backbone - north of New Braunfels)

From what we have seen, this looks like a really nice collection of modern, clean, and very nice tiny home cabins. Could be worth checking out!

San Marcos Hotels
Hotels in San Marcos are all located along Interstate-35, and there are a lot to choose from. Below is a list of the higher rated options we found. These should be plenty nice and comfortable. We definitely recommend staying closer at any of the options listed above for your convenience, but also the region near the venue is considerably more hilly and scenic.
